Editor | Proofreader | Creative Writer
I’m Cynthia, a grammar geek, word wizard, language lover, and text tamer. I’m also – you guessed it – an editor.
Alliteration aside, I love stories, and I’m guessing that you do too (after all, you made it to my website). Perhaps you just finished a first draft, or maybe you’re knee-deep into revisions. You might even be looking for a final polish. Whatever your situation, I can help.
I offer various editing services, including developmental editing, manuscript assessments, line and copy editing, proofreading, beta reading, and book coaching.

"I’ve worked with Cynthia twice now, and so far, she hasn’t failed to amaze me. She turned my poem into a beautifully flowing piece that I can be proud of. Then, when I took a leap and sent her a manuscript I thought I’d never publish, her edits made me change my mind. Cynthia's edits are thorough, friendly, and insightful."
"Cynthia provided a developmental edit on my memoir. She is a professional with a gift for capturing the work as a whole, then untangling the writing. Her suggestions significantly improved its quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cynthia based on the value of the work she delivered to me."

Education
I value my clients and the incredible effort they put into their work. To honor that effort, I actively work on my professional knowledge so I can help you make your work the best it can be. I also just happen to – and I might have mentioned this once or twice – love stories, and I truly believe that I can never know enough about how to create them. About Me
As people, we are more than just a collection of qualifications. So, who am I?
I’m a story enthusiast, board game buff, and miniature painting aficionado with a passion for all things fantasy. I live in the Netherlands, just a stone’s throw from a buffalo farm, where I share my life with my husband and a small army of pets. My heart skips a beat whenever I spot a donkey (seriously, I squeal), and while I’m bad at math, I’m great with words. I can cook up a storm – the kitchen will definitely look like a hurricane hit it when I’m done – and I have the incredible talent to whistle out of tune.
Working with me means partnering with a friendly, sometimes socially awkward, but always supportive bookworm who loves a good joke. I’m excited to explore your work and creative ideas together. Oh, and if you happen to know a great dad joke, don’t hesitate to share – I’m all ears.
